Friendship Residence was designed through a collaboration between the Antwerp-based studio HUB Architecten and the London practice DRDH Architects. The result is a unique interplay of local sensibility and international perspective.

Their vision takes shape as a contemporary ode to the historic warehouse architecture of Het Eilandje. Here, there is no fragmentation, only visual harmony. A carefully composed ensemble in which each building has its own identity and atmosphere. A place designed not only for living, but above all for experiencing.

From the outside, Friendship Residence immediately makes a striking impression. High-quality façades with green accents, refined detailing and expansive windows create an aesthetic enrichment for the neighbourhood. Mineral materials were consciously selected to honour the character of the location, ranging from the iconic warehouse style to urban buildings with brick accents.

That sense of quality is felt down to the smallest detail upon arrival. Through the luxurious entrance halls, residents enter the buildings in a stylish transition from the city to their personal haven.

The spacious inner garden was designed by renowned landscape architect Erik Dhont. With internationally acclaimed projects and as laureate of the prestigious competition for the new palace gardens in Brussels, the studio guarantees a landscape design of royal calibre.

The unmistakable charm of this hidden oasis invites residents to slow down and savour the moment. A lush interplay of flowers, shrubs and trees creates a sheltered retreat that briefly makes the pace of the city disappear.
